Jeremy Ong

Founder | Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy Ong graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, Australia.


He began his career in the Financial Management Program (FMP) of the General Electric Company (GE) in 2002, serving in various business and corporate segments in Malaysia, USA, and China. In 2004, he joined GE China in Shanghai, as Finance Analysis and Planning/Risk Manager for GE Aircraft Engines Asia Pacific. He subsequently joined GE’s Corporate Audit Staff (CAS), performing governance and corporate audit duties in the USA, Canada, China, Hungary, France, India, Japan, and South East Asia. In 2008, he was Supply Chain Finance Manager in the Asia Pacific region for GE Oil & Gas in Singapore, where he led finance teams in manufacturing sites in Singapore, China, and Indonesia. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for GE Global Business Services Asia Pacific in Singapore in 2010 and responsible for leading the overall Asia-Pacific finance function in 13 countries.


Throughout the years with GE, he has gained much experience in areas of accounting and finance, governance and compliance.


He left GE and joined CCI Asia Pacific as CFO for Asia in 2012 and led the finance and governance function with manufacturing locations in India, Japan, and Korea.


He returned to Malaysia in 2014 and joined the Hextar Group as Group Chief Operating Officer, one of Malaysia's largest Agrochemical and Fertilizer group of companies. He initiated a restructuring of shared support services while overseeing its business operations, investment management, business development, diversification initiatives and lead its Indonesian business units.


In 2015 he was appointed to the Board of Directors as  Independent Non-Executive Director of ATA IMS Berhad, a company listed on the main market of the Malaysian Stock Exchange, Bursa Malaysia.


He founded Treo Capital in 2018 and serve as CEO where he leads the company in providing management, financial and strategic advisory services to clients in various aspects of finance, risk management, corporate planning, compliance, corporate governance and investments.

 

In 2022, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Vestland Berhad as an Independent Non-Executive Director, a company  listed on the ACE market of the Malaysian Stock Exchange, Bursa Malaysia.


Low Tuan Lee

Managing Partner

Low Tuan Lee is an Independent Non-Executive Director and a member of the Audit Committee of Comintel Corporation Berhad, a company listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange, Bursa Malaysia.


He has more than eighteen (18) years of financial industry experience, covering diverse areas including banking products development, structured investment & foreign exchange products, financial modelling and valuation, cross border trade and cash asset management and risk governance.


His core expertise is on the provision of products and solutions to commercial clients that operates in different regions. He has executed various financial exercise entities in mainland China, Hong Kong and off-shore multilateral.


He started off his career as audit trainee in Ernst & Young and subsequently joined AIG Malaysia as an actuarial analyst focusing on product pricing and development before he relocated to Singapore MetLife as actuarial manager in 2006. Tuan Lee then continued his overseas career in Standard Chartered Bank Shanghai China as Director covering various roles including cross border client coverage, product design development, derivative products solutions, offering relative value trade and cash structured ideas, market information and performance strategies.


In addition to his banking experience, he continues to venture into financial consultancy focusing on private and corporate fundraising, pre-IPO preparatory as well as strategy advisor for mergers and acquisitions opportunities for Greater China clienteles.


Tuan Lee holds a Bachelor of Commerce major in Actuarial Studies from The University of Melbourne. He received distinction performance ratings throughout his banking career and had various recognition from the bank with Best Performance award and Best Product Manager in his sector.


Nitin Chhatwani

Nitin Chhatwani is a senior governance, compliance, finance and risk executive with over 23 years of experience in global and APAC roles. He has a stellar consistent track record in building high performing teams to support strong business growth through developing audit and governance framework, compliance program and risk management in various markets.

 

In his recent experience with GE Healthcare, Nitin was the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer for Asia Pacific, India, South Asia and Latin America and Head of Government Affairs for Asia Pacific. He was involved in developing a strong third party/channel management program and direct customer 360 risk management programs, established policy and mechanism for HCP interactions and regulatory transparency reporting and teamed to execute on the largest IPO listing in the Med Tech and Med Device industry. He also chaired US-ASEAN Business Council with the US embassy for healthcare industry in Singapore for driving strategy with governments and industry across the region.

Nitin is a trusted business partner and stakeholders were assured of his leadership, trusted building capabilities and stable hands in managing complex issues and projects. He accelerated awareness of risks and aggravating and mitigating factors while making business decisions and ensured sustainable business development growth. He built data analytical and monitoring capabilities for risk assessment, management and mitigation and developed business risk and compliance boards. He built finance compliance, internal audit and monitoring function as part of the Asia Controller.

 

Nitin was nominated for various leadership programs in GE, including Corporate Audit Staff where he was conducting audits, developing process infrastructure, supporting M&A integration for various businesses – financial services, power generation, energy management in Japan, China, ASEAN, Korea, India and Europe region.

 

Prior to GE, Nitin was the with Ernst & Young as part of management assurance and internal audit team. He developed audit skills and audited global MNCs such as Tetra Pak, Honeywell, Coca-Cola. He is a SFEDI accredited consultant where he was a co-founder in London driving enterprise initiatives from DTI helping secure >$1.5Mln of funding for SME growth and development.

 

Nitin earned his MBA in Finance from Leeds University. He has also majored in Accounting, Economics, Tax planning and Mercantile Law during his bachelor’s and master’s. 


SAC (R) Zulkefly Bin Yahya

Partner | Law Enforcement, Security, Investigations Expert

SAC (R) Zulkefly Bin Yahya has had a distinguished career with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), contributing significantly to the organization and the nation’s security over his 39 years of service. He has held a variety of key leadership roles, including Chief Assistant Director of the Special Operations Division (D8) at Bukit Aman, where he lead operations related to counter-terrorism, national security, and high-profile criminal investigations. His leadership in this role is recognized for his ability to manage complex security challenges and develop strategic responses to emerging threats.


His achievements span a wide range of law enforcement responsibilities, including his time as District Police Chief of Kulai, Johor, where he was instrumental in improving public safety and community engagement. As Head of Investigation and Enforcement in the Traffic Department in Kuala Lumpur, SAC Zulkefly made notable improvements in traffic management and safety, contributing to a decrease in road-related incidents and increasing enforcement efficacy.


In 2017, as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), he served as the Head of the Investigation and Enforcement Department at Bukit Aman, where he led numerous high-profile investigations and operational strategies aimed at reducing organized crime. His subsequent promotion to Chief Assistant Director of D8 in 2021 further solidified his role as a senior officer responsible for high-level operational planning and the execution of national security initiatives.


SAC Zulkefly’s commitment to the nation has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including the Pingat Setia Pasukan Polis (PSPP) in 2017 for his exceptional service, the Pingat Jasa Pahlawan Negara (PJPN) in 2019 for his contributions to national security, and the Kesatria Mahkota Wilayah (KMW) in 2021 for outstanding service to Malaysia. His accomplishments also include being awarded the Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) in 2014.


In addition to his core responsibilities, SAC Zulkefly is deeply committed to community development and sports. He has served as the Honorary Secretary of the Police Football Association since 2006 and has played a pivotal role in organizing various sports events for the Kuala Lumpur Contingent. Furthermore, he has contributed to the health and safety standards within the organization, representing his colleagues in the Safety and Health Management Committee in 2022.


His continuous professional development is a testament to his dedication to excellence. He has attended several specialized courses, including the 109th Management Development Programme in Sydney, Australia, and courses in crisis management, quality auditing, and traffic management. These accomplishments reflect SAC Zulkefly’s exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to public service, positioning him as a key figure in Malaysia's law enforcement community.

Jagdip Singh

Partner | Chief People Officer

Jagdip is an experienced executive and organizational talent architect with over 20 years of experience in driving human capital strategies across Asia Pacific, Middle East, North and West Africa. He excels at aligning people-centric strategies with business goals, leading HR transformations, workforce planning and talent development programs across diverse industries. Jagdip has consistently delivered measurable results while fostering high-performing and resilient organizations.


At Topgolf Southeast Asia, Jagdip served as Director of People & Culture, overseeing HR strategy and operations for a fast-growing NYSE-listed, sports and technology driven hospitality company with 400+ employees. He introduced a Balanced Scorecard based performance management system that strengthened the alignment between performance and rewards. Through the optimization of various talent acquisition processes, Jagdip built a robust talent pipeline while achieving a US$120,000 cost savings. His initiatives in employee engagement and ethical governance led to significant improvements in morale, productivity, and retention while enhancing the company’s internal culture and reputation.


During his time at BHP Billiton, Jagdip played a key role in transition following the BHP-Woodside merger. He also worked on several workforce localization strategies, reducing reliance on expatriates and enhancing the local talent pipeline. Leveraging workforce analytics, Jagdip provided strategic insights that were instrumental in the talent management process.


At Sportfive Asia, he directed HR operations across eight countries and implemented a global HRIS to enhance talent data accuracy for better decision-making. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he led a US$4.5 million rightsizing exercise for 90 employees in the Football division across Asia and Middle East, achieving seamless transitions with zero external grievances.


As Executive Director HR at Aker Solutions, Jagdip led HR operations for over 800 employees across 10 countries in Asia Pacific, Middle East, North & West Africa. He developed and implemented various group-wide HR practices and benefits optimization, resulting in substantial cost savings for the business. During the oil price slump, Jagdip led several rightsizing exercises in countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, UAE and Nigeria, which involved complex negotiations with labour unions and regulators.


Earlier in his career, Jagdip held leadership HR roles at HSBC, General Electric and Willis Towers Watson (then Towers Perrin Forster & Crosby), where he gained a solid reputation as a strategic HR business partner and relationship builder. Here, he assisted the organizations in reducing hiring turnaround times through innovative recruitment strategies. He also managed the prestigious Financial Management Program. Many of the graduates of this program are global leaders in Fortune 500 organizations today.

Camillia Soong

Partner | Managing Director @ TREO Ventures

Camillia graduated with a double degree in Accounting & Computing from Monash University, as Top First Year Student and Top Graduating Student of her course.


She started her consulting career in Australia working for IBM Global Services, a Global Fortune 500 company, and has 20 years' working experience in consulting, training and project management. Her area of expertise is process design and operational excellence.

 

At IBM she worked on various strategic, operational improvement and system implementation projects across multiple industries such as global SAP implementation at New Zealand’s leading multinational dairy company Fonterra, process reengineering of the entire loan origination process at ING Direct to achieve marked improvement in turnaround time, and designing an integrated business customer enquiries process for ANZ in order to achieve a virtual single customer point of contact across products / lines of business.

 

She returned to Malaysia and joined a Dutch IT Service Management training and consulting firm and travelled across the region delivering ITIL training.

 

In 2007 she joined a local boutique consultancy and has been a key team member in delivering complex business initiatives in the Financial Services industry such as bankwide transformation (a program of over 30 projects across all lines of business covering process, people and systems) and loan origination system implementation (end to end - requirements gathering, vendor RFI/RFP, development, testing & implementation) at Affin Bank; branch transformation at Alliance Bank; fit-gap analysis for core banking system replacement, setup of priority banking offerings and GST implementation at Ambank.

 

In addition to her consulting experience, she was also promoted to Chief Operating Officer after only 6 months in Tune Box (now known as Rokki), AirAsia’s inflight wifi entertainment subsidiary. She was instrumental in building the company from the ground up (from a team of 3 to 31) and developing its key offerings i.e. AirAsia X’s in-flight entertainment rental tablet and AirAsia’s inflight wifi offering. This included making key decisions for solution design and development, crafting business proposals and board papers, negotiating vendor contracts, obtaining Hollywood studio approvals, managing aircraft system certification, operational planning, setting up operational and technical support and managing day-to-day operations. She was offered the CEO role however left Tune Box to focus on her own business in real estate redevelopment projects.

Jon Goh

Partner

Jon Goh is a finance leader with a decade of experience in business transformation, financial management, and process optimization. He earned his Bachelor's in Accountancy from Singapore Management University and is a certified Singapore Chartered Accountant.

 

Jon began his career at General Electric Company (GE) by joining the Financial Management Program (FMP) in 2013. During his tenure, he undertook assignments in various business and corporate segments in Singapore and the USA. Through these assignments, Jon played a key role in streamlining numerous financial processes, leading to significant savings in man-hours and costs, and enabling enhanced decision-making.

 

In 2016, he joined GE’s Corporate Audit Staff (CAS), where he led audit and advisory assignments across multiple businesses, primarily in the USA. A large part of Jon's work revolved around business transformation, which included implementing a new revenue accounting standard and helping to drive divestiture workstreams of several business units.

 

By 2019, Jon joined GE Aerospace and took on the role of GEnx Services Finance Leader for the Asia Pacific/China region based in Singapore. In this capacity, he managed profitability and risk mitigation for long-term service contracts.


He was promoted to Commercial Finance and Risk Leader for GE Aerospace Asia Pacific. In this position, Jon led the risk function in deal underwriting, risk management, and approvals for multi-year aircraft engine and services deals, covering the entire range of GE Aerospace offerings.  


Anis Hussien

Anis Hussien is a principal at Treo Capital and Managing Director of Treo Intelligence.


She’s a strategist passionate in building ventures across various industries. Currently, she is also the Sales & Partnership Director at bespoke batik manufacturer, Bujins Batik.


Her career began at the age of 18 with an entry into marketing as a community manager. Ever since then, she has built a digital marketing portfolio growing brands’ digital presence online ranging from retail, fashion, tech, professional services, sports and non-profits.


Anis holds an MBA with specialization in Technological Entrepreneurship from Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS), a Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) school.


Prior to that, she received her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Queensland, Australia.

Dr. Andrew Yew, PHD

Andrew’s expertise lies in the innovation, design, and development of immersive and emerging technologies, namely, extended reality, spatial computing, artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, internet of things, and blockchain.


Cutting his teeth in the technology sector through academic pursuits, first as a PhD candidate, then as a post doctoral research fellow, Andrew conducted research and development on emerging technologies and applications in manufacturing, robotics, healthcare, and education. He earned a PhD from the National University of Singapore and has presented his work at international conferences and published articles in scientific journals. Philip Whittaker

Phil holds a Bachelor of Hotel Management, Master of Business and a Graduate Diploma in Digital Business.  He is a Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and a Certified Practicing Marketer. In 2011, he was inducted into the Sponsorship Australasia Awards Hall of Fame for services to industry and in 2016 was awarded Asia’s Best Marketer, CMO Asia 7th Edition.


Most recently, was our Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) of Sim Leisure Group Ltd (public listed on the Catalist Board of SGX) and previously worked as a Strategic Advisor to the group since December 2020. He was the Group Commercial Director prior to assuming the role of CEO since July 2022. In this role, he oversaw the strategic direction, day to day operations, sales, marketing, business development and commercial matters for the group.


Phil was previously the CEO Attractions and Chief Commercial Officer of Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, where he served for nine years overseeing a portfolio of attractions including KidZania Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, Legoland Malaysia Resort, Adventure Waterpark, The Els Club Golf Courses and the destination marketing for leading integrated resort Desaru Coast.


Prior to that he has over 20 years’ experience in a range of senior marketing, operations and management roles working with leading global brands including Warner Village Theme Parks, Goodwill Games and Warner Bros. Entertainment. He has also successfully founded and managed leading marketing agencies in Australia.

Candy is a seasoned finance professional with more than a decade of global experience at General Electric (GE).


She specializes in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Finance Business Partnering and Finance Transformation. She brings a broad-based finance expertise and a global perspective through her work across various finance functions, industries and geographies (Asia Pacific and America).


Candy began her career in the GE Financial Management Program (FMP) and GE Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) finance leadership accelerator program. Comprised of intensive international rotational assignments and coursework. She gained valuable experiences in Controllership, FP&A, Commercial Finance, Internal Audit, Mergers and Acquisitions and Consulting, partnering GE businesses in the Oil and Gas, Power, Healthcare and Corporate sectors.


Subsequently, Candy joined GE Healthcare at their headquarters in Chicago. She lead and managed a global portfolio as part of the Group FP&A team. In her recent position, she was the Senior Finance Leader for the AKA region (ASEAN, Korea, ANZ) leading P&L responsibilities covering FP&A cycles including budgeting, forecasting, closing and reporting. She also drove the commercial and cost control initiatives including pricing and concessions modelling as well as headcount, compensation and benefit, marketing, travel and living and indirect sourcing governance. In addition, she led change management and finance projects in the areas of digitization, data analytics, process improvement, transformation and productivity to achieve multi-million-dollar savings for the business.


Candy earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Lancaster University and Sunway University.

Mary-Ann Ee

Throughout her 20-year career with GE, Mary-Ann was the "go to" international controller for spearheading large scale transformative restructuring and expansion efforts, maintaining financial stability and driving significant growth.


What differentiates her is her financial acumen combined with a strategic and business focused mindset. She builds ground-breaking strategies, develops a coherent plan around that and motivates large cross-functional global teams to accomplish the mission. Mary-Ann started her career in GE as an FMP, which is an intensive two-year leadership program spanning four rotational assignments. These assignments included: financial planning, accounting, operations analysis, auditing, forecasting, treasury & cash management, and commercial finance. 


Based on her technical and financial skills in treasury & cash management, she was tapped to lead GE's Asia Intercompany Billing System (IBS) program, by partnering with regional Project Managers, Business Managers, B2P, R2R, WCS, ICO, Corporate Treasury & Local finance and site leaders to implement data integration projects, monitor and improve Asia's IBS systems, focused on innovating a global general ledger interface solution (GLI), standardizing upstream accounting processes within the businesses, resulting in a 20% reduction in reporting time and improving the accuracy and timeliness of intercompany financial information for external stakeholders. 


After serving in the IBS project management with GE Corporate, she was asked to lead financial analysis and planning for Asia’s $250MM+ Sensing & Inspection Technologies, a 350-team member organization. 

Based on her financial acumen and deep knowledge of GE Sensing’s operational practices, she was tapped to lead the large Pressure product-line supply chain finance function, the 1st profit improvement plan with the goal of capturing a 10% operating margin to improve profitability post-recession. 


During 2014-2015, she was based in Fairfield, CT in the United States to launch GE's first global audit analytics department from the ground up, by recruiting, training & developing GE’s first professional audit analytics staff of 15.

Steve Kim studied interior architecture at Cornell University, USA and graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University, China with a BA in Business Administration.


He has more than 20 years of experience as an SME specialist in East Asia and in particular South Korea, structuring foreign sales teams, investment scheme, investor relations and overseas expansion strategies.

 

He began his career in overseas sales, at a precision component manufacturing company, During Co., Ltd. As the Head of Planning, he successfully lead multimillion dollar deals with Siemens Italy, GM US and China and Philips-Lumileds Malaysia over the course 6 years resulting in the company increasing  sales by 20x from USD 2 million to USD 40 million. While in China, Steve was responsible for the China plant expansion and also founded the first Korean e-commerce & entertainment platform with great success.

 

In 2010, he joined the Korean Branch of Redwood Investment, a US financial advisory firm, refining his knowledge and career in the field of finance. He worked hand in hand with Macquarie Asset Management and Korean banks in the Songdo World Trade Center project.

Leonardo Mariabelli

Datuk Loo Took Gee

Advisor

Datuk Loo Took Gee had served in various capacities during her 38 years of service with the Federal Government of Malaysia.


She graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in 1978 and joined the Administrative and Diplomatic Service of Malaysia upon completion of a one year training programme at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN).


She furthered her postgraduate studies in Japan in 1988 and graduated with a Master Degree in Policy Science from Saitama University, Japan.


She has very broad experiences in policy formulation and implementation in human resources management, financial management and project management, including infrastructure privatisation , while serving at the Public Services Department, Ministry of Works and Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water.


Datuk Loo was appointed Secretary - General of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water in August 2010 and served in that capacity before her retirement in August 2016. Subsequently, she was appointed as the Advisor to the Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water on a one-year contract from September 2016.


During her tenure as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water, she also served as Chairman of MyPower Corporation, an agency dedicated towards the deregulation of the power industry in Peninsular Malaysia.


Besides, her tenure of seventeen years at the Ministry saw her active involvement as a Board Member of related government agencies & corporations such as Sarawak Hidro Sdn. Bhd., Energy Commission of Malaysia, Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation, Sustainable Energy Development Authority, Malaysia (SEDA), Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Authority (MTJDA) and Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB).


In the water sector, Datuk Loo had been involved in the potable water industry for a long time, since her days as an officer at the Development Division of the Ministry of Works from 1990 until 1999. She was later involved in the restructuring of the water services industry under the Water Services Industry Act 2006 (ACT 655), where she provided the oversight for the migration of the various states in Peninsular Malaysia as well as the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan to a new regulatory regime.


Amongst her notable contributions to the water restructuring efforts were her leadership on the lengthy negotiations for the migration of the state of Selangor and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur from a concession model to an asset-light model of operation . Besides, she also led the study on the tariff setting mechanism to enhance the viability of Indah Water Consortium Berhad .


Currently, Datuk Loo Took Gee is on the Board of YTL Power International Berhad and Hartalega Holdings Berhad as an Independent Non-Executive Director.


Datuk Loo Took Gee was appointed as a Member of the Water Services Commission of Malaysia ( SPAN) for a two years term with effect from 2 February 2023 until 1 February 2025.
